Therapy for Men in Rockville MD

Get help overcoming the anxieties and stresses of life from a male therapist who gets it.

Therapy from a male perspective who has the lived experience

Let's face it, there are things you want to be able to talk to someone about who has lived experience from your perspective. I get it, I was single, I dated, I am now married, have kids, and understand the pressures that are put on men both in society and in relationships. It is not easy to navigate and if I was being honest, I wouldn’t be able to do it without processing some of my own experiences with other men.

It's helpful to know that you have a guy in your corner who you can bounce ideas off of but also a professional who can help you with your own anxiety, pressure, depression, and struggles. A guy who understands the complexities of relationships and the frustrations that can come up in life situations.

How can I support you?

I am glad you are taking the first steps in seeking out therapy.

My name is Bradford Wolf and I am a therapist who is passionate about helping others create the future they want for themselves.

I studied psychology at the University of Maryland and began working with individuals. I then decided to pursue my masters in social work.  After extensive training and supervision I obtained my license in social work. Over time, I was able to expand my expertise in private practice and have been doing so for over 15 years.

One of the most critical components of effective therapy is developing a connection with your therapist.

My top priority is making you feel comfortable in sessions and working towards achieving the different goals you have for therapy. My clients are able to share their thoughts and experiences through a non-judgmental and safe environment.

Do you need someone who gets it?

Sometimes you just need someone who has also lived that experience.

Frequently Asked Questions

Each individual therapy session lasts 50 minutes.

I believe in confidentiality, and that you, not your insurance company, should have input in what therapeutic services you should receive. As a result, I do not directly participate with insurance. I am out-of-network with insurance companies.

My fees are $225 for a 50 minute session.

I believe that it is important to get the most out of your insurance plan. Therefore, I will provide you with a receipt at the end of each appointment with which you should file with your insurance company for a reimbursement. The amount of the reimbursement varies with each insurance company. Please contact your insurance company directly prior to beginning therapy to determine the amount of reimbursement you will receive.

Insurance companies may be hard to navigate. Some questions that might help you when talking with your insurance company include: What are my out-of-network mental health insurance benefits? What is the coverage amount per therapy session? What will be my out of pocket cost including copay, co-insurance, and deductible?

All major credit cards. Credit Cards are stored on a secure platform and charged after the appointment.

All forms will be emailed to you to include a service agreement and some questionnaires. You just need to fill them out and click submit.

I believe it is important to give you the choice of how you want your therapy sessions to be conducted. As a result, I offer sessions both in-person and virtual. Whatever you are most comfortable with is how I will meet with you.
