Therapy for Depression in Rockville MD

Do you sometimes feel empty or nothing at all?

Depression sometimes starts small and slowly builds into something larger.

Anyone ever tell you “snap out of it!” Or “why don’t you just do something you enjoy that will make you feel better.” Sometimes friends and family think they are helping when in reality they are just making it worse. If it were as simple as “snap out of it”, then you would have done that already.

With the right support, you can start to feel better. I have helped countless individuals who are struggling with depression.

If you are ready to improve your depression and general mental health, give me a call, see if we are a good fit, and then let’s start your journey today.

Strategies I use to help others with depression

  1. Coping skills: Using the correct tools in order to combat depression is critical. Implementing coping skills that you can use and practice daily that are realistic is one of the keys to success. When you are not in therapy, it is imperative that you are working on your mental health.
  2. Regular Therapy: Being able to process what is going on with someone other than your family and friends is usually extremely helpful. As a mental health professional, I have seen a lot of individuals suffering from depression. I have also seen a lot of those individuals make great strides and feel more in control of their own depression.
  3. Compassion: It is critical that you work with a therapist that understands you and doesn't just say “snap out of it.” A therapist who works with you on your goals in a non-judgmental approach to help you improve your symptoms.

Feeling confident and empowered will help you break free from depression.

How can I support you?

One of the most important components of therapy is that you feel safe with your therapist to share your struggles, fears, vulnerabilities, hopes, and goals for the future.  I strive to create a supportive and collaborative environment where we can work without restrictions on achieving the goals you want for your future.

My approach is to use evidence based practices that are catered to your specific vision you have for your future. Together we will unlock your potential and create a the future you want to have.

I conduct therapy with a collaborative approach.  I want to meet you where you are at and work with you on creating your goals together.  We will work on creating goals based off your strengths and where you feel you want your future to be.

Frequently Asked Questions

Each individual therapy session lasts 50 minutes.

I believe in confidentiality, and that you, not your insurance company, should have input in what therapeutic services you should receive. As a result, I do not directly participate with insurance. I am out-of-network with insurance companies.

My fees are $225 for a 50 minute session.

I believe that it is important to get the most out of your insurance plan. Therefore, I will provide you with a receipt at the end of each appointment with which you should file with your insurance company for a reimbursement. The amount of the reimbursement varies with each insurance company. Please contact your insurance company directly prior to beginning therapy to determine the amount of reimbursement you will receive.

Insurance companies may be hard to navigate. Some questions that might help you when talking with your insurance company include: What are my out-of-network mental health insurance benefits? What is the coverage amount per therapy session? What will be my out of pocket cost including copay, co-insurance, and deductible?

Payments can be made through check or all major credit cards. Checks can be made payable to: Bradford Wolf, LCSW.

Please print and fill out all forms prior to your first appointment and bring them to your first session. Come about 5-10 minutes early for your first appointment.
