Growing up, helping others was a big part of my own identity. Seeing others struggle
and being able to be there for them was a role I always embraced. My ability to absorb
experiences others had and look at their situation objectively is a strength I feel I have
always possessed. Over time I was able to fine tune this strength and use it to have
higher levels of compassion and empathy for others and their given situations.
Through my education I studied psychology at the University of Maryland and began
working with individuals with severe mental illness. I then decided to pursue my masters
in social work. After extensive training and supervision I obtained my license in social
work with most of my work focusing on individuals with mental health struggles. I was
able to expand my expertise to private practice and have been doing so for over 15
years now. I work with individuals with anxiety, depression, and young adults with
starting their lives, new relationships, or just navigating the complexities of adulthood.
